Kyle Larson's busy month of May is getting going at Kansas Speedway. He will be driving his No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday. That comes after two nights driving his sprint car at nearby Lakeside Speedway. But the big weekend will be Memorial Day weekend, when he tries to pull off "the double" by finishing every lap of the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

Max Verstappen inched closer to a third consecutive win at the Miami Grand Prix on Saturday by continuing his long domination of Formula 1 qualifying. Fans lined up outside the arena more than three hours before Caitlin Clark made her WNBA debut for the Indiana Fever in a preseason game against the Dallas Wings. The two-time NCAA women's basketball player of the year did not disappoint. Clark led all first-half scorers with 16 points in 16 minutes and finished with 21 points in the Fever's 79-76 loss on Friday night in Texas. She was 6 of 15 from the field including 5 of 13 from deep, and had three rebounds, two assists, four fouls and five turnovers. She had a chance to send the game into overtime but her 3-point attempt from the right corner at the buzzer missed.

The message was that Clark wouldn’t be facing 18-year-olds any longer. ”I’m here.” That was Clark’s announcement (she didn’t say it in words, just on ...
